In this weekly series, the crew will break down their top plays for the day and tell you why you should target them! This week we get an absolute banger of a game on paper between the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions. Let’s take a look at some Underdog plays to win ourselves some money.
Jared Goff HIGHER than 1.5 Passing TDs
Jared Goff
Detroit Lions • QB • #16
I have to admit, I was a bit worried about the Lions after their Week 1 performance against the Packers. After Week 2, I am no longer worried about their offense for this season. They still have excellent weapons in every phase, and Jared Goff still has command of this offense even without Ben Johnson. He’s thrown six passing touchdowns already through two games, so two more on Monday Night Football doesn’t seem that tall of a task to me, especially in a game with explosive scoring potential.
Zay Flowers HIGHER than 5.5 Receptions
Zay Flowers
Baltimore Ravens • WR • #4
Through two weeks, Zay Flowers is averaging seven receptions per game, even in a huge blowout where the game was never truly in question for the Ravens. Mark Andrews continues to be a non-factor, and it seems as though Zay Flowers has finally taken the true alpha role in this offense from a target share perspective. I don’t think a high-powered game will be very possible for the Ravens without targeting Flowers a fair bit, and 5.5 receptions feels pretty doable to hit the higher on here on Underdog.

Jahmyr Gibbs HIGHER Than 12.5 Rush Attempts
Jahmyr Gibbs
Detroit Lions • RB • #0
This is a bit of a riskier take, as Gibbs is yet to go higher than this number in either of his first two games. However, we also have not seen the Lions in a truly competitive game yet, and I am building this play on the idea that this will be a back and forth, high-scoring affair, somewhat similar to the Ravens and Bills game in Week 1. If the Lions and Ravens push each other, I think Gibbs could see a boatload of touches, and so far it seems like the new Lions OC seems to more heavily favor the Lions’ stars than Ben Johnson did.
Derrick Henry HIGHER than 3.5 Yard Longest Reception
Derrick Henry
Baltimore Ravens • RB • #22
This Underdog play is somewhat similar to the Gibbs thesis for Derrick Henry. He does not often get receptions, but when he does, they are usually designed, and they are usually in games where the Ravens have to get extra creative and really push down the throttle offensively. To me, this is less of if Derrick Henry can get a four yard reception, and more of if he gets a reception at all. If he does, it feels pretty likely that he’d gain more than four yards, as it would most likely be a designed screen, which he’d most likely break for a good chunk of yards. I’ll be holding my breath on this one for sure, but it’s a fun sweat for sure!
