Per offensive coordinator Arthur Smith:
There is no clear answer yet on who the Pittsburgh Steelers RB1 will be. Najee Harris left during the off-season to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers. Jaylen Warren will be competing for the number one role alongside rookie running back Kaleb Johnson and veteran Kenneth Gainwell.
OC Smith on if Jaylen Warren is Steelers' starting RB:
"We've got a lot of weapons back there. … Just talking about Kaleb [Johnson], a different style player than Jaylen. We added [Kenneth] Gainwell. There's a lot of depth in that room. It'll work itself out."
