The Los Angeles Chargers suffered a major setback Sunday despite their win over the Denver Broncos. Running back Najee Harris is expected to miss the remainder of the season after sustaining an Achilles injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Harris went down during the victory over Denver and did not return. Tests following the game confirmed the severity of the injury, which will require extended recovery and end his 2025 campaign.
The veteran back had been an important piece of the Chargers’ offense, providing both power and consistency in the ground game. With Harris sidelined, the team will need to lean on its depth chart and possibly the free-agent market to fill the void in the backfield.
This marks a tough blow for Los Angeles as they continue their push through the regular season, now forced to adapt without their starting running back.
