Isaac TeSlaa is now the WR3 for the Detroit Lions. Following a Wednesday morning trade, which sent Tim Patrick to the Jaguars, TeSlaa now opens the season as the starting slot WR for the Lions. The Lions’ decision was made easier as TeSlaa flashed consistently throughout the preseason.
TeSlaa recorded 10 receptions on 13 targets for 146 yards and 3 TDs over 4 games in the preseason. While viewed as a project WR coming out of the draft, he has proven that he is ready to take on a meaningful role to start the season. The rookie WR may not make an immediate fantasy impact in most leagues, as he still projects as a borderline flex option, but he certainly has helped his dynasty value. Watch his early season usage as he competes with established weapons like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta for targets, and if he flashes early, be prepared to aggressively target TeSlaa if he is on waivers.
