Week 2 of the NFL season is here, and I’m here to help you find the best values there is in the DraftKings Sunday Slate. Let’s dive into some players at the $5,000 salary or less to target to supplement the stars and try and win some cold hard cash!

Joe Flacco

Joe Flacco

Cleveland Browns • QB • #15

Salary5000
FPTS14.2

INT2

Joe Flacco threw the ball 45 times in Week 1 just to keep pace with 17 points from the Bengals. Imagine how often he may need to pass to keep pace with a Ravens team that just scored 40 points last week. And for $5,000, Flacco offers plenty of upside for another 40+ attempt week that could be partnered with more yards and touchdowns this time around than he had in Week 1.

Mac Jones

Mac Jones

San Francisco 49ers • QB • #10

Salary4000

INT0

Mac Jones is the minimum quarterback price for the week, with Brock Purdy not being announced as injured and out until after pricing was released. Now yes, the Niners’ receiving core is… hanging on by a thread. But Jones is a good system fit for Kyle Shanahan, and he will still have his best weapon in Christian McCaffrey to pair with the upstart Ricky Pearsall.

They also face a pretty poor defense in the New Orleans Saints, which gives me more confidence in Jones’ ability to have a safe floor and still provide some upside, especially being able to pair him with more expensive position players.

Cam Skattebo

Cam Skattebo

New York Giants • RB • #44

Salary4800
FPTS2.9

Yes, Skattebo was wildly out-snapped by Tyrone Tracy in Week 1. However, the New York Giants also scored a grand total of six points in that game with Tracy dominating the running back snaps. Skattebo also got a crack at goal-line work last week, which is an encouraging sign. I’ve got to be honest, the cheap running back plays are not good this week, but if you do want to go that route, I think Skattebo has the skill set to score fantasy points in bunches if given the opportunity.

Bhayshul Tuten

Bhayshul Tuten

Jacksonville Jaguars • RB • #33

Tank Bigsby is fully out of the picture now. Behind Travis Etienne, the only other backs are exciting young rookie Bhayshul Tuten, and less-exciting rookie LeQuint Allen Jr. If Etienne struggles at all, Tuten is in line for more opportunities. He has the speed and explosiveness to pay off on just a handful of touches. Again, he’s not a great play yet, but he also has potential to score points in a pinch if the ball bounces his way.

Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs

New England Patriots • WR • #8

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary5000
FPTS11.7
REC6
YDS57
TD0

Stefon Diggs had seven targets in Week 1. Yes, Boutte had more targets and scored more points, but Diggs is still the most talented receiver on the team, and now has a full week under his belt back to full health.

More importantly, the Patriots face the Miami Dolphins defense, who gave up 33 points to Daniel Jones and did not force a single punt or turnover last week. I am targeting them until further notice, and Diggs has the most upside of the Patriots’ receiving core.

Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans • WR • #0

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary4900
FPTS6.7
REC4
YDS27
TD0

Despite the poor showing, Calvin Ridley still had eight targets despite being shadowed by Patrick Surtain for most of the game. Ridley is the best target in Tennessee by a long shot, and this time he doesn’t face a defense at the level of the Broncos. He easily has the most upside of anyone priced at $5,000 or below. He should be the chalkiest player on this list.

Cedric Tillman

Cedric Tillman

Cleveland Browns • WR • #19

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary4300
FPTS16.2
REC5
YDS52
TD1

Tillman has out-targeted Jerry Jeudy in three of the last four games that they both played together. He is bigger, stronger, and faster. Plus, the Browns use Tillman in better ways that are more conducive to scoring fantasy points. If the Browns have to try and keep up with the Ravens, Tillman may smash for the second consecutive week.

KaVontae Turpin

KaVontae Turpin

Dallas Cowboys • WR • #9

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary3600
FPTS4.7
Touches4
YDS27
TD0

Listen, I know it’s gross. That’s kind of the point. With that being said, Turpin got multiple purposeful plays drawn up for him in Week 1, and he faces a weaker Giants defense that is more susceptible to big plays and defensive breakdowns. If Turpin can break a play or two, he will easily pay off his cost this week.

Harold Fannin Jr.

Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Browns • TE • #44

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary3100
FPTS13.6
Touches8
YDS66
TD0

This man had nine targets in his first ever game. And somehow, his price stayed exactly the same as it was in Week 1. I don’t really understand why, but I’m not complaining. Fannin looked like the real deal. Joe Flacco looked for Harold Fannin Jr. consistently and often. There’s no good reason to expect him to stop doing so this week. To me, Fannin is a must play in Week 2.

Grant Calcaterra

Grant Calcaterra

Philadelphia Eagles • TE • #81

2025 Pricing and Stats
Salary2500
FPTS0
REC0
YDS0

Similar to Mac Jones, Dallas Goedert was ruled out after pricing went live. This makes Calcaterra a good shot in the dark to take at the minimum price for tight end. He has no guaranteed target share at all, which does make him an enormous risk. But at $2,500, even two to three receptions or a lucky TD will go a long way for you if you can use the salary savings to get more points elsewhere.
