Omarion Hampton at a Quick Glance
Looking over the numbers, Omarion Hampton was one of the more consistent ball carriers in college football this year. With only one fumble on the season, it doesn’t really set him behind the mark considering the amount of touches he received on the year.
Hampton looks to be a valuable fantasy option in dynasty formats this draft cycle. Film buffs would tell you that Hampton looks like he would be a B-Back in the NFL, which is not a bad thing in today’s landscape.
There are many teams now that operate on a two-back system (think Detroit Lions). Hampton being drafted to a team that has a solid running back already could be the best thing for him to increase his overall numbers.
FantasyNow+ Deep Look
Look at the base numbers that matter all you want, but that doesn’t necessarily show you everything you need to consider when looking at a prospect. How was the prospect utilized in the offense? What did he do with the ball when he got it? These are all things to consider.

Not watching any film and only focusing on the solid proof and numbers, Hampton shows that he has what it takes to be a solid running back in the NFL. With over 1,000 yards of offense coming after first contact, that is more than most college players get total.
Hampton can break away and run through defenders to gain yardage. He’s certainly someone to watch for in rookie drafts if you miss out on Ashton Jeanty.
